Transfixing Flight

Jackie Ellis completed a two year mentorship under Annette Bezor, one of Australia's eminent artists as well as training at the Adelaide School of Arts and Academy of Fine Arts, Wellington, New Zealand. Jackie's desire is to transport the hearts and minds of others to these places to share her emotional experience of the land. Artistically Jackie is influenced by the sublime and is fixated with the wild and remote. Seeking an elevated position, as if in flight, she chases transient light over her canvases. She is interested in the emotional memory of place.
