Darren McDonald is a young Melbourne painter whose work is uninhibited and fearless with a strong psychological edginess. Although confronting in its ability to portray subjects in a naked and raw state, there is a stillness too; a moment when the subject is caught and trapped it its own vulnerability - in its own private world. His works are held in major state and private collections.
